Turcotte Data & Designs Offers Networking and Computer Consulting
By Maureen Soloman
Jason Turcotte, owner of Turcotte Data & Designs, has been working with computers since 1983.Turcotte Data & Designs specializes in helping small and medium businesses solve their technology challenges such as network design, computer troubleshooting, backup solutions, and more.
One example of Jason’s services is proper configuration of data backups. “70% of companies that have catastrophic data loss will go out of business within five years,” Jason said recently. “I help businesses who want to prevent that kind of damaging loss.” Jason points out that very few small businesses have a proper backup system for their data and even those who do, rarely test it to find out if it will work in a crisis.
Jason takes considerable pride in his customer service and specializes in enabling his customers to understand the technical aspects of their computer systems. “I give clients as much, or as little, knowledge as they need,’ he says. “I really care about my customers, and I believe my business is successful because I form relationships with my clients, and treat them well.”
Turcotte Data & Designs can handle customer needs from the single computer business up through the multi-server corporate networks. In addition, this talented local business owner creates web sites, and does graphic design for logos, trade show booths, and many other business design needs.
Before starting his business, he was the Director of Technical Support for a database software firm in Grafton that specialized in police and fire department software needs. Many of his clients from the software company followed Jason as he continues to service them in keeping their mobile laptops communicating using cellular networks and troubleshooting their various computer problems. Most of Turcotte Data & Designs’ customers come through word of mouth, and through business networking. Jason joined the Chamber when he started his business in Ware in August 2005.
Business owners who have attended our QVCC After Hours may have already met Jason, who regularly attends After Hours. “I have made contacts and gotten enough business at the Chamber After Hours to pay for my membership,” he notes. Recently, for example, at an After Hours held at Devon Lane Farm and Power Equipment showroom in Belchertown, he met Tom Shattuck, and has since designed a new logo and business cards for the equipment firm. Jason is active on our Ambassador Committee and the Events Committee.
